A wonderful antique circa early 1900s copper frying or sauté pan with tin lining made by Joseph Heinrichs. Joseph Heinrichs made and sold very high quality cookware through such well regarded retailers as Tiffany & Co, and directly to many of the finest restaurants and hotels from 1897-1937... In the past we have had Joseph Heinrichs pieces from the Waldorf Astoria, The Plaza, and a number of other fine restaurants and hotels. This particular pan was made for the Hotel Astor in New York City!
Beautifully made, in amazing condition for its age, small surface marks and scratches to the copper but no dents or damage, it sits flat. The pan has been fully restored with new tin and polished inside and out. One or two small pinpoint bumps, but still excellent symmetry and sits flat. A stunning piece of copper cookware and New York City hotel history!
Measures 9” in width at the top, 7” wide at the base, 15” long including handle, 2” deep. Weighs nearly 3.5 pounds with 1.6-1.8mm thick walls.
