A stunning vintage circa 1920-30s heavy copper pan with nickel lining and handle, from first class service of a Red Star Line steamship! The Red Star Line was a famous transatlantic shipping company, active from the 1870s to the 1930s, known for transporting millions of immigrants, including many Jewish families fleeing persecution, between Europe (Antwerp, Liverpool) and America (New York, Philadelphia). A joint venture by American and Belgian companies, it later became part of J.P. Morgan's International Mercantile Marine.

In excellent condition for its age, no dents or damage, just a lot of the usual small surface marks and signs of use you would expect from old copper that was used in a commercial environment for decades. The pot was professionally polished, so it is ready to use again! The nickel handle is sturdy and well-connected, it is structurally sound and sits flat. Made by Elkington, marked “Red Star Line 1st Class” on the side.

Measures 6.5” across the top by 1.5” deep, 12.5” long including handle. Walls 2.5-2.7mm thick.
