A rarely seen extra large antique circa early 1900s copper frying or sauté pan with tin lining and iron handle made by Joseph Heinrichs for the iconic Ritz Carlton in New York City. Joseph Heinrichs made and sold very high quality cookware through such well regarded retailers as Tiffany & Co, and directly to many of the finest restaurants and hotels from 1897-1937... In the past we have had Joseph Heinrichs pieces from the Waldorf Astoria, The Plaza, and a number of other fine restaurants and hotels.
Beautifully made, in great condition for its age, lots and lots of small surface marks, bumps and scratches to the copper but no major dents or damage. The pan has been fully restored with new tin and polished inside and out. A little out of round but still sits quite flat with slight movement. A stunning piece of copper cookware, the largest oval sauté Jos. Heinrichs offered!
Measures 16” in length at the top, 12” in width, 22” long including handle, just shy of 4” deep. Weighs nearly 14 pounds with 2mm thick walls.
