A lovely antique circa early 1900s heavy silver plated tray or bread dish from the Fall River Steamship Line steamer named “Providence.” In excellent condition for its age, small marks and signs of use that you would expect from old steamship silver that was used daily, but no large dents or damage. The silver plating had extremely minor tarnish, and has polished up beautifully! Marked on the base with the steamship name, made by Reed & Barton.
I found an old poster image of the ship, it was part of the Fall River Line that ran between New York, Boston, and more northern points in New England. Please note, the poster is not included with the tray.
The tray measures approximately 11 inches long by 6.5 inches wide.
