A lovely and rare antique circa 1913-1920s silver plated bill or tip/change tray from the Placer Hotel in Helena, Montana. One of the only pieces of silver I’ve ever come across from this historic hotel! 

In excellent condition, no dents or damage, just some of the usual small marks and signs of use you would expect from old hotel silver that was used and polished almost daily. The silver plating is in great condition, there are some small speckles of discoloration on the top of the tray and some tarnish in the corners, but it should all polish up very nicely if desired. Marked with a beautiful hotel stamp on the top of the tray, and on the back with the hotel name along with Reed and Barton marks. This tray predates their dating system introduced in 1929.
