This is a lovely antique circa early 1900s heavy silver plated milk pitcher from the Casino Municipal de Cannes in Cannes, France. The Casino Municipal de Cannes was a luxury casino that opened in 1907 and was later demolished in 1979. It was known for its lavish decor and its role in hosting the early Cannes Film Festival. I came across a few old postcards while researching this piece, they included at the end of the listing for historical interest only, they are not included with your purchase of this item.
In excellent condition, no dents or damage, just the usual small marks and signs of use you would expect from old hotel silver that was used daily. It has polished up beautifully! It is marked on the front with the casino name.
Measures approximately 5.25 inches tall, by 6 inches long from spout to handle, by 3.25 inches wide at the base. holds 50 cL, which is approximately 16 ounces.
