A stunning and rare antique circa early 1900s heavy silver plated champagne or wine bucket with attached underplate from Rector’s in New York City! Rector’s was the grandest of the Broadway “Lobster Palaces” and is one of the most important restaurants in American social history.

In great condition, no large dents or damage, but there are lots of little surface scratches and bumps. Moderate tarnish, it will polish up beautifully if desired with wear through to the nickel on the outside and mild discoloration inside from standing water. Made by Reed & Barton and marked on the base “Rectors” with an applied crest on one side of the bucket, and an engraved S monogram on the other.

Measures approximately 8.5 inches tall, 10 inches wide across the handles, 7.25” wide across the top opening.
