A stunning and rare antique circa early 1900s heavy silver plated syrup pitcher with attached underplate from Rector’s in New York City! Rector’s was the grandest of the Broadway “Lobster Palaces” and is one of the most important restaurants in American social history.

In excellent condition, no large dents or damage, just the usual signs of use you would expect from old restaurant silver that was used daily. Very minor tarnish, it will polish up beautifully if desired with some discoloration inside. Made by Reed & Barton and marked on the base “Rectors”

Measures approximately 8.25 inches tall.

The interior and exterior photos of Rector’s is from the blog The American Menu, which was invaluable in researching and dating this piece. http://www.theamericanmenu.com/2015/08/rectors.html?m=1
