A rarely seen antique circa early 1900s solid copper oval sauté or fish pan with sterling silver lining and nickel handle made by Joseph Heinrichs. Joseph Heinrichs made and sold very high quality cookware through such well regarded retailers as Tiffany & Co, and directly to many of the finest restaurants and hotels from 1897-1937... In the past we have had Joseph Heinrichs pieces from the Waldorf Astoria, The Plaza, and a number of other fine restaurants and hotels.
Beautifully made, in fantastic condition for its age, small surface marks and scratches to the copper but no large dents or damage, it sits flat. The pan has been polished inside and out; the sterling lining is in great condition with some light utensil marks and scratches and a little bit of wear to the Sterling silver lining only around the top edge.
This is one of the larger oval pans made by Heinrichs, it measures approximately 11.5” long by 7.75" wide by 2” deep with a short 4.25” handle for a full length of 15.75"; and it weighs a bit over 3 pounds 3 ounces.
