A wonderful antique circa early 1900s copper frying or sauté pan with tin lining and iron handle made by Joseph Heinrichs for the iconic Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC. Joseph Heinrichs made and sold very high quality cookware through such well regarded retailers as Tiffany & Co, and directly to many of the finest restaurants and hotels from 1897-1937... In the past we have had Joseph Heinrichs pieces from the Waldorf Astoria, The Plaza, and a number of other fine restaurants and hotels.
Beautifully made, in good condition for its age, lots of very small surface marks, bumps and scratches to the copper but no major dents or damage. The pan has been fully restored with new tin and polished inside and out. This pan would have once had a sterling silver lining, but the silver had already been replaced with tin when we found it.
Measures 14” in length, excluding handle; 18.25”, including handle; 8.5" wide, 2" deep. approximately 1.7mm thickness
