A beautiful antique circa late 1800’s to early 1900s French copper stock pot with lid and bronze handles, professionally restored with new hand applied tin. In excellent condition, plenty of signs of age and use, lots of small marks, surface scratches and bumps but no major dents. It sits very flat on our gas range, though there might be a slight bit of movement on a perfectly flat surface like glass, this piece is still watertight and perfectly usable.
This lovely piece is almost 10 pounds with 1.8mm thickness at upper rim. Measures a bit over 10.5” across, 14.5” wide including handles, with a depth of 10.75”, holds approximately 13 quarts.
Stamped "E. Duparge R. De PROVENCE 108 PARIS." This maker or retailer is a mystery to me, despite all of my research I've not been able to locate another piece of copper with this stamp. The final photo is a “before” picture of this big stockpot, before it was restored in our tinning workshop.
