An antique circa late-1800s French copper daubiere or braising pot with lid from the historic Albert 1er Hotel in Nice, France. The pot features dovetail/cramp seams, and both the body and lid have sturdily attached iron handles. This pot was in horrible condition when we found it, we removed as many dents as we could, stripped an old lacquer and lots of dirt and patina, and discovered a small marking on the lid that reads "Albert 1ER Nice." There are no maker or retailer marks on the piece. This antique pan has been cleaned, polished and lined with hand-applied tin. In great usable condition, small surface marks that you would expect from 120+ year old copper cookware, lots of small marks and dings, a slight rock when you push on the long handle, but no damage or structural issues.
Measures 10.5” long by 5.5” wide (13” wide including handle length) by 5.75” tall. Walls measuring approximately 1.4mm
