A stunning antique circa early 1900s heavy copper pot with tin lining and a riveted iron handle, made for the Hotel de France!
This is a beautiful handcrafted piece, made to last generations. The copper is quite heavy, at the rim it is around 2-2.2mm. There are plenty of marks and bumps to the outside, as is to be expected from a piece that was used in a commercial environment for decades. The iron handle is sturdy and well-connected. The pan has been polished and re-tinned and is ready for use! The pan has been stamped “Hotel de France” and “8” on one side, and “L” on one side of the handle. no makers mark
Measures 12” across by 3” deep, 23.5” total length including handle. Approximately 2.2mm width at the lip. Weighs nearly 10 lbs. Sits flat on our gas range, but might have a slight wobble on a very flat cooktop such as glass.
