A beautiful vintage circa 1940s heavy silver plated platter cover from the iconic St. Regis Hotel in New York City! In excellent condition, no dents or damage, just lots of light surface scratches to the top. Marked on the front with the iconic St. Regis hotel crest, marked on the base as made by R. Wallace for the St Regis. This is one of the largest round covers we’ve ever come across at 14.25 inches wide (made to cover a 16 inch round platter). Because it is completely flat on top it could be used as a cake stand or a riser for a larger platter, or could be flipped upside down and used as an extra large serving bowl.
Measures 14.25 inches across by nearly 4 inches tall.
