A beautiful vintage circa 1920-30s silverplated champagne bucket/cooler made in France by Ercuis for La Coupole in Paris. La Coupole is a renowned Montparnasse café, opened in the 1920s and still open to this day, frequented by artists, writers and luminaries such as Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, Henry Miller, Man Ray, and Josephine Baker.
In excellent condition, no dents or damage. It has minor tarnish that will polish up beautifully, light wear on the arms and some staining inside from sitting water but nothing that affects the usability or beauty of this piece. Marked on the base with Ercuis marks.
Measures 8.25 inches tall by 7 inches wide across the top opening, 9 inches wide across the handles.
