A wonderful antique circa late 1800s English silver plate and oak butter box! Made for elegantly serving European style butter, this box would have once had a glass or metal insert. In fantastic condition for its age, no dents or damage to the silver frame, just some small bumps and signs of use, the oak has a beautiful antique patina and is without any splits or cracks.

Measures approximately 5.25 inches wide by 3.75 inches tall to the top of the lid finial, 7 inches tall including handle.
