A stunning antique circa 1880s heavy copper champagne bucket with tin lining, made by Dehillerin for the famous Hotel Bristol in Paris, France. This piece featured the rare cockerel mark for Dehillerin, and it’s the first champagne bucket I’ve ever seen with this mark!
This is a beautiful handcrafted piece, made to last generations with the same construction quality and methods Dehillerin uses for their copper cookware. The copper is very heavy, at the rim it is around 2.2mm, and gets much thicker at the base. There are plenty of marks and bumps to the outside, as to be expected from a piece that was used in a commercial environment for decades. We haven’t re-tinned or polished this piece, but if you would like to have it re-tinned and professionally cleaned and polished we can arrange that for $150, with a 3-4 week turnaround (we will try to get it to you quicker, but this time of year is our busiest).
Measures approximately 9 inches wide across the top not including handle by 8.5 inches tall. This piece weighs nearly 7 pounds empty!
