A beautiful pair of vintage mid-century gilt solid silver asparagus serving tongs made by Cartier! In excellent condition, very light surface scratches from polishing and use, but no damage or signs of repair. Extremely minor wear to the gold plating, really only evident when looking very closely or under magnification. They are in spectacular condition for their age! Marked “Cartier” and “made in France” on the side of the arms with a .950 (slightly more pure than sterling silver) silver guarantee on one side.
