An antique circa late-1800s English copper sauté pan. Weighing in at nearly 7 pounds, this sturdy piece was definitely built to last. The craftsmanship is superb! This antique pan has been cleaned, retinned, and polished, and is ready for use. In excellent condition for its age, small surface marks that you would expect from 120+ year old copper cookware, lots of small bumps, marks and dings (especially on the iron handle) but no damage or structural issues. A time worn Benham & Froud makers mark can be found on the base. Photos two and three are this pan in our copper workshop, right after it came off the buffer this afternoon. It’s a beauty!
Measures 16" wide by 26” long (30” long including handle length) by 2” deep. Walls measure 1.4-1.6mm thick at the rim. Total weight of 6 lbs. 11 oz. Sits flat on our gas range, but might have a very slight wobble on an extremely flat cooktop such as glass.
