A rare, one of a kind circa 1880s silver plated tea caddy made by Tiffany and Company! The base of the caddy is engraved “Car Atalanta.” Atalanta was the name of the private train car of the New York gilded age financier and railroad tycoon Jay Gould. We have a few pieces of his personal Tiffany & Co silver, three railroad pieces and one from his yacht of the same name.

In excellent condition, no large dents or damage, just small signs of use and age in the way of a couple tiny bumps/marks. Measures nearly 4.75 inches tall by 4 inches wide at the widest point.
