A beautiful antique circa 1920s heavy silver plated serving tray from the Hotel Belmont in White Plains, New York! In good antique condition, it has mild tarnish that will polish up beautifully. No large dents or damage, though there are plenty of small scratches and marks. The hotel crest is engraved on the front and the hotel name is marked on the back. Measures approx. 12” long by 9” wide.
The Belmont Hotel was built in 1929, it was only known as the Belmont for less than two years before having its name changed to the Roger Smith hotel. The final two images in this listing are an old New York Times article about the name change and an image of a postcard I came across showing the hotel once its name had been changed to the Roger Smith.
