A beautiful and unique piece of hotel silver, an antique circa late 1800s spittoon from the Hotel Henry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! This piece has a very heavy base to prevent spillage, yuck, which makes it excellent to use as a vase or a base to hold a large serving bowl aloft.
In excellent condition for its age, no large dents or damage, though there are small bumps, surface marks and signs of use. It has polished up beautifully on the outside with a little bit of darkening/staining on the inside. marked on the base with Reed and Barton marks and the hotel name.
This piece measures approximately 8.25 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall, weighs nearly 4.5 pounds. The final four photos show the outside of the hotel and some interior shots of the lobby so you can see this piece in use.
