A lovely antique circa 1910s heavy silver plated flatware service for 6 from the Grand Hotel Ligure in Turin, Italy. Built around 1910, the Grand Hotel Ligure was known for its ornate Art Nouveau architecture and hosted illustrious figures before its residential conversion after over 100 years of serving guests in 1912.

This set is in excellent condition for its age, no dents or damage, just small scratches and surface marks. This service for 6 consists of 30 pieces; six dinner knives, six dinner forks, 6 tablespoons, sixth salad/dessert forks, and 6 teaspoons. Made by Broggi. Each piece is marked on the back of the handle with the hotel name, with the exception of one salad/dessert fork with no marking that is otherwise identical.

The pieces measure approximately 7 to a bit over 10 inches in length.

PLEASE NOTE: we actually have a service for 12, but not everyone needs that much flatware so we've split it up into two services of six, or you can choose to buy the full service of 12 at a bit of a discount from the drop-down menu. The final 4 images are postcards I came across while researching this hotel, they are provided for historical context only and are not included with your purchase of the flatware set.
