A beautiful vintage circa early 1900s heavy silver plated ice bucket with handle, from the Le Dome Cafe in Paris! Le Dome Cafe is a restaurant in Montparnasse, Paris. From the beginning of the 1900s, it was renowned as an intellectual gathering place. It was frequented by famous (and soon to be famous) painters, sculptors, writers, poets, models, art connoisseurs and dealers. Le Dôme later became the gathering place of the American literary colony and became a focal point for artists residing in Paris's Left Bank. The term Dômiers was coined to refer to the international group of visual, and literary artists who gathered at the Café du Dôme, including: Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, Man Ray, Henry Miller, Amedeo Modigliani, Anaïs Nin, and more.

Engraved on one side “Le Dome.” In excellent condition for its age, absolutely no dents or damage, just small surface marks and signs of use. Very light tarnish, some discoloration from sitting water inside the bucket.

Measures approximately 5.5 inches tall, 8.5 inches tall with the handle raised.
