An antique circa late-1800s to early-1900s French hammered copper sauté pan. Weighing in at more than 9 pounds, this super-thick, super-sturdy piece was definitely built to last. The craftsmanship is superb! This professional-grade pan has been cleaned, polished and lined with hand-applied tin.

The pan is marked LEGRY 2 RUE DE MIROMESNIL on one side and M with a royal crown or coronet on the other. M. Legry owned a shop which supplied hotel and restaurants with all of their culinary needs, much like the shops of Gaillard and Jacquotot. The shop was located at 2 Rue Micromensil in Paris.

In excellent condition, small surface marks and bumps/dings that you would expect from 100+ year old copper cookware, but no damage or structural issues. Measures approximately 12" in diameter, slightly unddr 24" long including the length of the handle, by 3.5" deep. Weighs 9 pounds 3 ounces with walls around 2.2-2.5mm thick.
