A set of 2 petite antique circa 1920 copper gratin dishes with sterling silver lining made by Joseph Heinrichs. Joseph Heinrichs made and sold very high quality cookware through such well regarded retailers as Tiffany & Co, and directly to many of the finest restaurants and hotels from 1897-1937... In the past we have had Joseph Heinrichs pieces from the Waldorf Astoria, The Plaza, and a number of other fine restaurants and hotels.

These dishes were made for Nicholas F Brady’s spectacular Inisfada estate; a 300 acre country estate with 84 rooms, it was one of the largest private homes on the “Gold Coast” of north shore Long Island. Beautifully made, in amazing condition for their age, small surface marks and scratches but no dents or damage, they sit flat. They have been lightly polished and retain some of their antique patina, the sterling lining is in excellent condition with only minor wear.

Measures 7.25” long across the handles by 5.75” wide by 1.25” deep. Made from impressively thick 2mm copper, each small gratin weighs nearly 1 pound!
