An antique circa late-1800s yo early 1900s French copper daubiere roasting or braising pan, marked on the body and lid "LEGRY 2 RUE DE MIROMESNIL." Weighing in at 9.5 pounds, this super-sturdy piece was definitely built to last. The craftsmanship is superb! The pot features dovetail or cramp seams, and both the body and lid have sturdily attached brass handles. This antique roaster has been cleaned, polished and lined with hand-applied tin. In excellent condition, small surface marks that you would expect from 100+ year old copper cookware, small bumps, marks and signs of old pitting on the base, but no damage or structural issues. This is a beautiful piece that really shows its history!
