A stunning and rare antique circa 1920s heavy copper saute pan with tin lining and a riveted iron handle, by J. Gaillard of Paris for a CGT or Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (aka French Line) ship. This is only the second piece of French line copper we have ever come across!
This is a beautiful handcrafted piece, made to last generations. There are lots of marks and bumps to the outside, as to be expected from a piece that was used in a commercial environment for many decades. The iron handle is sturdy and well-connected. The pan has been polished and re-tinned in our studio and is ready for use!
Measures 11 inches wide by 3 inches deep by 22 inches long along the handle. This is a beautiful, commercial quality piece with 2+mm walls. Weighs a bit over 5 pounds 8 ounces.
