A lovely antique copper gratin dish with two brass handles and new hand applied tin lining, made by Jacquotot for the famed Grosvenor Hotel in London!
This is a beautiful handcrafted piece, made to last generations. The copper is approximately 1.3mm thick. A new tin lining was hand applied and it has been professionally polished, so it is ready to use again! There are plenty of marks and bumps to the outside, as to be expected from a piece that was used in a commercial environment for decades. The brass handles sturdy and well-connected, the pan is structurally sound and sits flat despite the bumps. Marked on the base with the maker's mark along with the hotel name, though it looks like someone lightly tried to scratch through the hotel name at one point. Marked "22" on one side to indicate it's 22 cm length.
Measures approximately 9” long not including handles, almost 12” long including handles, by 6” deep by 1.5" tall. Weighs approximately 1 pound.
