An antique circa early to mid-1800s French copper daubiere roasting or braising pan with lid. Weighing in at more than 11 pounds, this super-sturdy piece was definitely built to last. The craftsmanship is superb! The pot features dovetail or cramp seams, and both the body and lid have sturdily attached handles. There is a very deep lid made for holding hot embers/coals.
This antique pan has been cleaned, polished and lined with hand-applied tin. In excellent condition, small surface marks that you would expect from 150+ year old copper cookware, small marks and dings but no damage or structural issues. This is a beautiful piece that really shows it’s history!
Measures approximately 13.25” wide by 7.75” long by 7.75” tall. Weighs an impressive 11 lbs, 2 oz!
