An antique circa 1890-1900 horn whisky/spirit cup with sterling silver rim. Great antique condition, no damage to the sterling rim. The rim is marked with the William Drummond & Co. mark, but the rest of the hallmark is rubbed and difficult to read.
Founded in 1872 as Brush & MacDonnell Company (partnership of Samuel Brush and William Drummond). Samuel Brush died in 1878 and the firm was renamed Drummond & Co. Drummond primarily sold English and Scottish made sterling silver items through his shop in Melbourne, Australia.
