An antique English stoneware match striker, made to be used in a pub, bar or hotel lobby to advertise a shoe store that specialized in American shoes. Based on the reference to the "Royal Alex" and the prices being in dollars I believe this match striker is from a store in Winnipeg Canada, and it's referencing the Royal Alexandra Hotel. In excellent condition for it's age, no cracks or damage, just some very slight fading/discoloration. Measures approx. 4.25" across by 2" tall.
