A wonderful antique circa mid-late 1800s copper pot. In excellent condition for its age, no dents or damage, just the usual small bumps, marks and signs of use you would expect from old copper that’s over 120 years old. Beautiful dovetail construction. Engraved “Lowther” on one side with a mark for Jones Brothers of Down St. on the other.
Measures approximately 8.5" high by 9" wide across the base and 10" wide across the center. The opening at the top is 7.75" across and the handle is 12.5" long with a full length of slightly over 20”, the handle is 17" high at the tallest point.
Jones Brothers was a London ironmonger business, located on Down St. W. in Piccadilly, near Buckingham Palace, that operated between 1832-1900.
