A beautiful circa 1930s copper gratin/roasting dish from the iconic Pierre Hotel in New York City. The pan is stamped “DUPARQUET 112 W. 22 ST. NEW YORK” on one side and “PIERRE” on the other.
Excellent antique condition, small signs of age and use, lots of small surface marks and bumps but no large dents or damage that would affect the stability or usability. This piece has been professionally polished but not retinned. The tin lining is in great but not perfect condition with lots of little surface scratches from cooking utensils and a few tiny spots of wear through to the copper underneath. It’s probably usable as-is for a couple more years before truly needing to be retinned.
Measures approximately 14.25” long at bottom and 15.5” long at top, 9” wide at bottom and 11” wide at top, by 2.5” high. Walls measure approximately 2-2.2mm, this heavy hotel quality piece weighs a bit over 5.75 pounds.
