An antique circa late-1800s French copper daubiere roasting or braising pan with lid. Weighing in at more than 24 pounds, this super-sturdy piece was definitely built to last. The craftsmanship is superb! Both the body and lid have sturdily attached brass handles. There is a very deep lid made for holding hot embers/coals. Both the body and lid are stamped “ E. DEHILLERIN 18 RUE COQUILLERE PARIS”
This antique pan has been cleaned, polished and lined with hand-applied tin. In excellent condition, small surface marks that you would expect from 120+ year old copper cookware, small marks and dings but no damage or structural issues. This is a beautiful piece that really shows it’s history!
Measures approximately 16” wide by 9” long by 8.75” tall. Weighs an impressive 24 lbs, 14 oz with 3+mm walls!
