A beautiful and rare antique circa 1890-1920s silverplated serving bowl with handles made in France by Christofle. This bowl is nice, heavy hotel quality and has an intertwined WL monogram on the front, which is the early logo for Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits. Wagons-Lits was known for the finest railroad dining & sleeping cars, but most famously for being the creator and operator of the Orient Express luxury passenger train.

In excellent condition, no large dents or damage, just the usual small marks, bumps and signs of use you would expect from old railroad silver that was used daily. It has polished up beautifully! Marked on the base with Christofle marks.

Measures 5.75 inches tall by 10 inches across not including handles, 12.5 inches across including the handles.
