A lovely and rarely seen antique silver plated champagne bucket made by Christofle for the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (aka French Line) ship S. S. Ile de France. Excellent vintage condition, small marks, surface scratches, and signs of use but no dents or damage to the body. One handle has been bumped so it is lower than the other one, but it could easily be tapped back into place by someone handy with metals. Mild tarnish that will polish perfectly if desired on the outside with some discoloration inside. The front of the bucket features the iconic CGT logo, with Christofle marks underneath.

Measures approximately 8.25 inches tall by 9.5 inches wide across the top including the handles, 7.75 inches wide not including handles.
