An antique English colonial circa late 1800s Port decanter tag made from a boar tusk with sterling silver frame and label. In great condition for its age, the boar tusk shows some wear and age. The sterling silver frame is in excellent condition with minor tarnish. Unmarked for quality but tests as sterling, found in England but based on the style and design it was probably made in British colonial India.
Tusk measures approximately 4.5” wide by 1.5” tall, and the chain is long enough to fit around even the largest decanter or bottle.
