A beautiful antique circa early 1900s heavy Copper pot with iron handle and tin lining, made for use by the B&O railroad! We have a number of these pots, they all came from a great collection of old railroad cookware. In excellent antique condition, these were used daily in the service of a railroad dining car, so they show many signs of use and age, but no damage or issues that would affect their usability. The handle rivets are all nice and tight, the tin lining shows some signs of age/use but is intact. Stamped “B&O” on one side with a “250” stamp on the handle as well that probably represents an order or inventory number. The capacity is approximately 4 quarts. Nice, thick hotel-quality walls approx. 2.8mm at the rim and thicker at the base. Weighs nearly 8 pounds empty!
Measures 18 inches long along the handle, 9 inches wide across the pot opening by 7 inches tall.
