A stunning circa 1933 English solid sterling silver counter bell, engraved on the front to read:
THE JOURNEYMEN BUTCHERS FEDERATION OF GREAT BRITAIN
PRESENTED TO MR.A.A.HANDS
AS A MEMENTO OF HIS TERM OF OFFICE AS GENERAL PRESIDENT
1934 - 5

In amazing condition for its age, no major dents or damage, just a couple slight surface marks and signs of use. The bell still works perfectly with a beautiful, clear ring. Fully hallmarked on each of the three components that make up this bell for Sterling silver assayed in Birmingham in the year 1933. This is a fabulous piece that was clearly custom-made, with a beautifully rendered figural bull as the push button on top of the bell. Unlike any other piece of presentation silver we’ve come across before!

Measures approximately 4” across by 4” tall; 228 grams total weight
