A wonderful antique heavy silver plated vase from the Dollar Steamship Lines! In excellent condition for its age, no dents or damage, just a few small surface scratches and utensil marks on the top. It has polished up beautifully! Marked on the top of the base with their D logo, on the base with the steamship line name (it has been struck through but is still fairly legible) and Gorham marks with the date stamps for the years 1888 and 1930. Dollar Lines was founded in the year 1900, probably this vase is from their very first silver order which would've been put in a year or so before they actually needed their silver, and then it was probably replated and re-stamped in 1930.
