A rare pair of vintage circa 1928 silver plated asparagus serving tongs from the Cafe Savarin in NYC. Cafe Savarin was a stunning restaurant and cafe in the Equitable Building located at 120 Broadway in New York city’s financial district. It was clad in Rookwood pottery tiles; floors, walls and ceiling. The final images are menus and interior photos found while researching this restaurant.

The tongs are in great condition, no dents or damage, just very minor tarnish and wear. Marked on one side with the cafe’s name and 1928, marked on the back with International Silver marks.
