1924 Silver Plated Detroit & Cleveland Steam Navigation Company Condiment Bottle Holder

A lovely antique circa 1924 silver plated condiment bottle holder from a Detroit and Cleveland Steam Navigation Company passenger steamship! In excellent condition for its age, no dents or damage, just very small signs of use and age. Marked as made by International Silver in 1924.

Measures 4 inches tall by a bit over 2 inches wide across the top (made to hold a bottle 2 inches in diameter or smaller). Taller than a holder for a mustard/horseradish bottle, and wider than a Tabasco bottle holder, this one is a little bit of a mystery. It was probably intended for a specific bottle of steak or hot sauce, i've paired it with a bottle of sesame oil just to show how it will look holding a bottle.

This is smaller of the two condiments holders we have from the Detroit and Cleveland Steam Navigation Company, they’re shown together in one photo for size comparison.
