A lovely and rare antique circa 1920-30s silver plated hammered tray from a White Turkey restaurant in NYC! There were four White Turkey restaurants in New York City, and a country Inn in Danbury, Connecticut , all run by the same couple. In good but not excellent condition, this is a piece of silver that was used daily in a restaurant setting so you can expect small bumps and surface scratches, lots of signs of use, but no major dents or damage. It has polished up nicely but there are some small spots of discoloration and wear to the silver plating. Marked on the back with the restaurant name, it looks like there was a mark on the front edge but it was struck through at some point, probably after the restaurants closed these pieces were sold off and the new buyer didn’t want another restaurant or company’s name right on the front of their new servingware.

The tray measures 10 inches long by a bit over 7 inches wide. The final two images are an old menu and interior photo I came across while researching this piece, they are shown for historical context only and are not included with purchase.
