A beautiful antique circa early 1900s silver plated trophy with three deer antler handles, engraved as a golf trophy given at the Cloverhurst Country Club in Athens, Georgia. The Cloverhurst club was Athens' first golf course, it was only open until 1920 when a new country club opened in Athens and the old Cloverhurst club was renamed the West Lake club and primarily used by university professors. A wonderful piece of early Georgia golf history!

The trophy is engraved on all three sides with the name of the club and then a list of winners from 1908 through 1917. Excellent condition for it's age, no dents or damage, just some very small bumps/marks and signs of use. It has polished beautifully with some small spots of thinning and wear to the silver plating, particularly around the handle attachments. The antler handles are all tightly attached to the cup without any breaks or damage.

Measures approximately 9” tall & 6” across the opening of the cup, 10” wide at the widest point.
