A lovely antique circa 1886 silver plated milk or cream pitcher from a Norddeutscher Lloyd ship. Excellent vintage condition, small marks, bumps, and signs of use but no major damage. Wear to the silver plating inside the pitcher, but none on the outside. The front features the Norddeutscher Lloyd logo, made by Elkington and stamped with their manufacturer mark for the year 1886.

Measures approximately 4.5” tall to the top of the handle.

Norddeutscher Lloyd (NDL) was a prominent German shipping company founded in Bremen in 1857. It was a major force in maritime transport in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and in 1970, it merged with the Hamburg America Line (HAPAG) to form Hapag-Lloyd AG.
