A rare antique circa 1883 silver plated champagne or wine bucket from the hotel, Niagara in Niagara Falls, New York. Good condition for its 140 years of age, lots of small bumps, surface scratches and signs of use, a couple of the dents have led to small splits on the inside near the top decorative rim and one handle. These issues don’t affect the usability of the piece, but are merely cosmetic. It has polished up beautifully outside with discoloration and wear from sitting water on the inside. Marked on the base with the hotel name, along with Gorham makers marks and the date stamp for manufacture in the year, 1883.
