An incredible antique circa 1860 English solid sterling silver goblet style trophy cup with ornate floral repousse detail and engraving, presented by the Prince of Wales to a Boston Merchant during his tour of the United States in 1860. An incredible piece of American history! In amazing condition for its 161 years of age, no dents or damage, just some very small signs of age and use. Marked near the rim with full English hallmarks for sterling silver assayed in London in the year 1857. The hand engraving on the front reads:
