A service for 18 of antique circa 1848 mother of pearl and solid sterling silver dessert or tea knives and forks (36 pieces total). In excellent condition for their age, small signs of age to the silver, no damage to the mother of pearl, in fact the pieces are in such great condition they look like they were never used at all! Each sterling knife blade and fork stem is marked with full English hallmarks for sterling silver assayed in Sheffield in 1848. The original mahogany case is included.

Knives are approximately 8 inches long, forks are 6.5 inches long.
