A lovely little antique circa 1908 silver plated trophy cup engraved for a track and field event, with an applied copper seal with the phrase Sigillum Scholae Grotonensis which is Latin for "The Seal of Groton School" (referring to the historic Groton School in Massachusetts).
In good condition for its age, no large dents or damage, just lots of tarnish and patina, this piece will polish up very nicely if desired but I think it displays beautifully as is. One arm has become disconnected from the cup at the top, it's the kind of thing that you only notice when you're handling the cup and feel a little movement in the arm, but it is still securely attached to the body at the base.
Measures approximately 3.5” tall
